Dear Parents and Staff,
In approximately 4 weeks, Wescosville School will undergo an asbestos abatement project, which is estimated to take 4-5 days to complete, dependent upon weather. This will take place away from the building, beyond the tree line where construction debris was buried last year. The debris was not from the school district and consists of general construction material, including some asbestos siding. All material will be removed and disposed of properly. We have been assured by a certified asbestos management firm that the non-friable material poses no threat to students or staff, either in the ground, or while being excavated. As with all other school asbestos removal projects, this one will be managed and monitored by certified asbestos removal companies and registered with the Department of Environmental Protection. Please feel free to call my office with any questions.
